Lydia Edwards, Director

As an organisational and performance psychologist, Lydia is passionate about working with individuals, teams, and organisations to create positive change and strategically work towards goals. She enjoys working in a range of contexts. These includine enhancing performance in business and sport, and supporting capability development and wellbeing in organisations of all sizes.

Lydia draws from her experience in HR consulting, organisational development, and psychologist roles across public and private sector. Spending the better part of a decade with the New Zealand Defence Force, she served in uniform as a military psychologist finishing as the Head of Army Psychology in 2022. Lydia still serves as an Army Reservist alongside her consultancy and private practice.

Lydia is an experienced New Zealand Registered Psychologist with a Master of Science in Psychology (with First Class Honours) from Massey University. She has also studied at The University of Otago where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, qualified as a ski instructor through The Otago Polytechnic, and spent a summer at the Australian National University on a scholarship. She’s trained in a range of evidence based therapeutic and coaching approaches, and is certified in change management and several psychometric tools. Lydia is a Chartered Organisational Psychologist, member of the New Zealand Psychological Society and NZ Association of Positive Psychology.

Outside work you'll find Lydia spending quality time with family and friends while trying to juggle being a mum of two girls, staying fit and healthy, and volunteering in her community where she can.

Sofia Garcia, Associate

Meet Sofia – a registered IO psychologist with the New Zealand Psychological Board (NZPB) and a Chartered Coaching Psychologist accredited by the British Psychological Society.

Specialising in leadership development and coaching, Sofia brings a wealth of experience in programme design, training, facilitation, assessment, and coaching across the private and public sectors.

Her academic background includes a Master of Science in Psychology with First Class Honours from The University of Auckland and a Postgraduate Diploma in (Applied) Organisational Psychology from Massey University, among other qualifications.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Sofia is a lifelong learner who values quality time spent with loved ones.
